Donald has had a terrible 2 days..

Yesterday, during Chinese JG, Donald was not wearing non-slip socks. He fell backwards and hit his head…(last night we went Isetan and bought 6 pairs.)

Then at night, he wanted to play with his wheelbarrow. He never did this before, but he climbed into the wheelbarrow, the wheelbarrow flipped and Donald fell forward. He was crying and the next thing we saw was blood coming out his mouth. I peered into his mouth and realised that BOTH his front teeth were broken! The right one, nearly 1/3 gone. The left one, a slight chip on the bottom right corner. His gums were swollen. Gave him ice, gave him a lollipop, but he couldn’t suck them properly as he was in pain. Cried alot last night. Mummy ended up with a bad night’s sleep too. (It is very heart wrenching for me because every Mum would want to keep their child ‘spotless’…)

This morning, Donald was still very whingy, clingy, still crying alot. Brought him to Botanical Gardens to feed ducks. We had a few pieces of sunshine bread which expired 2 days ago and just noticed that it was a little moldy. I took a small piece and passed it to him to throw it into the pond. Before I could stop him, he put it into his mouth! I had to dig it out from his mouth and make him drink lots of water…

Then just before JG class started, Daddy asked me to fetch him from Nassim Road. I put Donald in the car seat, on the front passenger seat. Since it was nearby and little cars, I made the mistake of not strapping him down. We drove slowly along Nassim Road, when suddenly, the taxi a few cars in front decided to stop and reverse. I jammed the brake a little harder than usual and next thing I know, Donald flew out of his seat, hit the dashboard and ended up on the floor of the front seat, WAILING! He’s not hurt…Thank God!

Chinese have this saying “祸不单行”, meaning bad events don’t come alone, usually a few at a time… so i really hope this, or should I say THESE, marks the end of this episode….
