Today, I was mindlessly flipping through the Mar-May 2007 Issue of Young Parents – Baby, I saw an editorial on Poncho for Mummy by Mon Petit Jardin! And it looked exactly like the poncho I have been using for years!
Using it for Xmas Shopping in 2006
I actually bought my fashion poncho piece from G2000 years ago because of its light weight and multipurpose function like to cover up when breastfeeding, to use as a blanket when baby is asleep, to cover myself up when entering religious sites in Israel or when I am feeling cold etc. And they are marketing it for these functionalities too!
We actually thought of marketing this product too! But looks like we are a step too late. I was still lamenting to my husband that my poncho has become worn and old, but I couldn’t find something similar to replace it. Now someone else has done it. And I wonder whether she also gotten the idea from the G2000 piece or did she come across my blog and saw the pictures?
Anyhow, at least I’m glad that I can find replacement if i need to.
For you mummies and mummies-to-be out there, may I solidly recommend this product. With this, you never have to find another breastfeeding cloth again. Since it is super light weight, space saving, and able to replace and double up as so many things, it is definitely a super worthwhile buy! (i am not on commission ok
)

come to a point, I’m too lazy to cover up while breastfeeding. Dorea is coming 2 yrs old and will push aside any scarf or what nots I cover her with, just learn to do it very discreetly and very quickly. Pull up blouse, pull down bra and latch on Dorea and tadar, we’re done. The hand is after all quicker than the eye.
However, I do used to use scarves the way you use the poncho, it’s easy, fold the scarf into 2 and sew a little stitch to hold it together. Works well too.
