What a Celebration!

September 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment · Uncategorized

Today, I am awed by the extent of Nanyang Kindergarten’s Children’s Day celebration! They had a fun filled carnival for the children… FREE!  And apparently, they had the same thing last year! The carnival/fun fair included: 1 choo-choo train ride 1 bouncing castle 1 bouncing maze thingy 1 froggy round-about ride 1 ship round-about ride [...]

Jaime’s Birthday Party

September 28th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Jaime is Toria’s JG classmate.  She has very similar name to Toria, and the teachers often get confused. Toria’s chinese name is 芊颐, Qian (1st sound) Yi (2nd sound) , and Jaime’s one is 倩依, Qian (4th sound) Yi (1st sound).  So Jaime would often refer to Toria as the “little Qian Yi” or “the [...]

Toria’s 2nd birthday is on Saturday, so we held an advance celebration in JG on Thursday. Medicine Time for Toria

September 22nd, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

When Toria was a tat younger, she would refuse to take her medicine, so I would grab her, lie her down and pin her arms down under my legs, then squirt the medicine into her mouth. Now, this position has become her medicine taking position.  When I call out “medicine time!”, she would lie down [...]

Mid Autumn Celebration @ Tresor

September 12th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

The MCST organised a Mid-Autumn Celebration by the pool, so that we can get to know our neighbours.  It was a nice move, as the people who are staying here have been here for not more than 1 year.  It was a good effort by Tresor’s MCST, as I recalled when we moved into our [...]

Daddy Reads Koala Lou!

September 9th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

This book, Koala Lou, is one of my favorite children books.  I bought it way back in 1998, when I was working in Bookaburra, fresh from university.  I had not even met my hubby yet!  Anyway, I bought like a stack of very good reads, to keep and pass on to my children.  Maybe I [...]

Daddy’s Biz Trip to Beijing

September 5th, 2008 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Daddy said that Beijing, because of the Olympics, is the nicest and cleanest city he had seen!  Mummy had been there twice, back in early 1990s, but from Daddy’s pix, Beijing is really very different now.  Must find a chance to go back there again. svgallery=20080903china svgallery=20080904china svgallery=20080905china
