This book, Koala Lou, is one of my favorite children books. I bought it way back in 1998, when I was working in Bookaburra, fresh from university. I had not even met my hubby yet! Anyway, I bought like a stack of very good reads, to keep and pass on to my children. Maybe I will share it in another blog post one day.
Koala Lou, is about a first born koala, who was extremely loved by her mum and all around her, but after more and more siblings were born, she thought she had to do something special and be the best in order to have her mummy’s love again, but when in fact, her mum loved her no matter what.
There is this catch phrase in the book “Koala Lou, I DO love you!”, and whenever I read the book and I said “Koala Lou…”, Donald and Toria would piped in “I DO love you!”. Donald can literally memorize and recite the entire story word-for-word, by heart. It is also Toria’s favorite book at this point in time.
