This is how I manage to eat my meals if Liz is whiny.  I would put her tummy down on my lap.  Normally, she would stop crying and happily look around.  If she cries, I would just jiggle my legs.  If it is near her nap time, she will actually fall asleep in this position.  The only issue is that she drools alot!  After a session like this, my pants (or leg if I’m wearing shorts), will be wet!  A pool of drool would have had formed on the floor! (both my blood type A+ kids never drooled, but Liz does, is it because she is the only O+?).
