Cycling with Beco

June 21st, 2009 · 2 Comments · Uncategorized

Daddy bought me a new bike today, something similar to his brompton, but this is called Dahon Curve.  Nice, foldable, easy to ride.

We went to ECP and did a family cycling trip.  Not easy cos Toria couldnt really ride yet, tried to pull her via a rope tied to Daddy’s bike, but she was terrified, so ended up we had to walk with her, and pull the bike along, very lay chay.

As for me, I beco-ed Lizzie and she actualy fell asleep.  I cycled around with her on my back.  Couldnt go very far cos had to take care of Toria.  Daddy brought Donald and the 2 of them raced to the jetty.  So fun!

very very cuuuute! but, sorry ah, imo, not safe to cycle while beco-ing lah.

you can get one of those baby seats to attach to the back of the bike. i see a few of the dads in my estate tt have these on the back of their bikes cycling round with their babies. and there’s also one dad who regularly cycles his son to my ds’ childcare with this seat.

LOL! I was also “scared” in the beginning, cos I’m not that great a cyclist. I fell on the road while cycling before, and a van screeched to a halt right in front of me!

But this model of dahon foldable bikes is unsuitable to install a baby seat. neither can my dh’s brompton bike put 1. So backpack is the only option. I’m still not super comfy to take her for long rides, just ride here and there for practice. :D
