Calligraphy

July 3rd, 2009 · 1 Comment · Uncategorized

NY Kindy had raised their fees this year, and to justify that, they added several extra curriculum.  One of them was calligraphy.
This was one of the work he brought home.  Even though it is not entirely his work, his teacher helped him in some thinner strokes, but I was truly amazed at the work… loved [...]

1st Tennis Class

June 22nd, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Brought the kids for a trial at Tennis Tots, Turf City.  They loved it!  What’s great is that the class is for 3-5 years old, so Toria barely made it.  Both of them can enjoy the class together, and with Donald around, Toria is more secure.  Otherwise, I think she can’t go for any class [...]

We went to ECP and did a family cycling trip.  Not easy cos Toria couldnt really ride yet, tried to pull her via a rope tied to Daddy’s bike, but she was terrified, [...]

Uncle Penguin

June 16th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Finally we found a good swimming teacher that can bring Donald beyond his current stagnation!
He is Uncle Penguin.
He was teaching other children in our condo pool, so we decided to engage him.  He looks quite old, so initially I was worried that it wouldn’t work out, but when I observe how he engages the kids, [...]

Nepia Fortress!

June 14th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Oh yah… my order of Nepia diapers came today.  Before I could keep them away, the kids grabbed them and built a fortress with it.  So cute!
And here are some pix of me, handling the chores on my own.  Plenty of clothes to fold and iron…

June 12th, 2009 · No Comments · Uncategorized

Yesterday, it was Ben 10.  Today.. Transformers.
YES, I went ALONE with 3 kids to United Square yesterday, but not much shopping.  Today, I went to Takashimaya, brought them to watch the show at B2, then we went shopping.  Not for the kids’ stuff, but Mummy’s stuff!
We took it slow and easy, but it was do-able. [...]

Simple Blocks

May 27th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Uncategorized

I tried to sit down and play with the kids… lego, blocks, drawing, playdoh etc, but I realised that when we were young, we were more creative, able to build or draw many different things, we just went along our wishes and something nice resulted.  But now that I am much older, I find that [...]
